Paul Pogba claims PSG players are ‘disgusted’ with how they were eliminated from the Champions League after they allowed Manchester United to complete a stunning comeback in Paris.

United became the first team to overturn a two-goal deficit away from home in a second leg to book their place in the quarter-finals as Marcus Rashford held his nerve to convert a last-gasp penalty at the Parc des Princes.

While the Red Devils have been drawn against Barcelona for a place in the final four of the competition, PSG will have to concentrate on domestic honours after once again failing in Europe.

Several PSG players are in France’s squad for the side’s Euro 2020 qualifiers with Moldova and Iceland and Pogba lifted the lid on their mood following the defeat.

‘Yes, we talked about it a bit [with the PSG players],’ the United midfielder said ahead of France’s clash with Moldova.

‘Yes, they are disgusted, but it is behind all that, we laugh and it’s over.’

Pogba has thrown his support behind Ole Gunnar Solskjaer with the Norwegian steadying the ship at Old Trafford following Jose Mourinho’s departure.

Asked about the end of Mourinho’s tenure, Solskjaer replied: ‘Maybe we lost confidence, maybe things went wrong. A lot of talking outside that we weren’t used to.

‘I don’t like to talk about the past. I like to talk about the future because that’s what matters. We are better now and the results have been brilliant.

‘Of course we want him [Solskjaer] to stay. The results have been great. I have a great relationship with him, he has a great relationship with the players.

‘When a player is happy, he wants to keep being happy. Solskjaer deserves it. He knows the club, he knows everything about the club. He is a really happy coach that gave confidence back to the players.

‘This gave us freedom to play and enjoy football again, because maybe we lost that with the results we had before’
