Pete Wicks confidence about bagging his date of choice for the Celebs Go Dating finale faced an awkward stumbling block, after he was rejected just before he was about to pop the question.
The reality show revolves around celebrities securing a date for the final episode in Tenerife, with contestants often having to choose between two potential candidates.
TOWIE star Pete Wicks faced a decision between Poppy and Demi, and looked like he was about to ask the latter if shed like to join him at the Canary Island resort.

As Pete worked up verbal magic by telling Demi she was the nicest girl hed met during the Celebs Go Dating process, she interjected to drop the friend-zone anchor.
I really respect you and obviously we do get on really well, Demi said. But I dont know about you but I do feel like its a friendship level. Do you think that or not?
As narrator Rob Beckett cracked up laughing over the top, Pete replied: Im surprised youve said it.
Do you know what? I genuinely really respect you for that.
Speaking about the exchange afterwards, Pete said: Pete the pirate got pied! We went on a date and I really, really loved the girl.
But she went, “Actually, I see us more as friends.” I was unhappy, I got friend-zoned at the last hurdle, I got pied.
Pete then gives Poppy a call, who agrees to attend the finale with him in Tenerife.
Things were panning out slightly better for Jack Fowler, who ventured to Tenerife with his date Kate and enjoyed hot tubs and champagne together.
Speaking to Kate, Jack said: I feel like its so easy to get on with you. I dont feel as though I have to dig for conversation. I feel like youre quite chilled, Im quite chilled.
