KEMP, Texas, March 20, 2019 (Newswire.com) – Larson Electronics, a Texas-based company with over 40 years of experience spearheading the industrial lighting and equipment sectors, announced the release of a three phase power distribution substation converting three phase 480V AC electrical current into three phase 208Y/120V AC. This unit allows operators to safely tap into and distribute 480V AC power from generators and direct grid power.
The MGS-3X480.3P.60A-45KVA-10X120.20A power distribution substation allows operators to power 480V and 120V equipment from a single system. This unit features a primary main circuit breaker that has four 60-amp 3-pole 480V breakers, with three breakers protecting three 60-amp ADR6034 600V AC/250V DC-rated receptacles and one breaker protecting the transformer passing three phase 480V power to the transformer.
The secondary side is equipped with a NEMA 3R 100-amp three phase 208Y/120V main circuit breaker panel with 10 20-amp 1-pole 125V breakers protecting 10 20-amp5-20R duplex GFCI 125V receptacles. This unit is made to withstand demanding conditions and features a load assembly that is mounted on a 3/16” thick carbon steel mounting platform and a load center/distribution assembly that is mounted to a standard 2” by 2” by 1/8” square carbon steel tubing frame.
Larson Electronics’ power distribution substation comes with forklift skid pockets, locking casters and a lifting eyelet on the top of the device. The transformer is grounded to the frame with a grounding lug that is provided. Suitable applications include indoor or outdoor use at construction sites, plant maintenance and turnarounds, and more.
