Wendy Williams has been seen leaving her sober home in New York, just hours after speaking out about her addiction struggles.

The 52-year-old bravely spoke out her cocaine addiction live on her TV show, and was pictured heading into the property, in Queens.

She kept her head down as she made her way into a car, opting for a leopard print puffer jacket and black leggings.

The TV star made headlines after opening up about seeking treatment for addiction, during Tuesdays episode of The Wendy Williams Show.

In a tearful scene, she told viewers: Well, for some time now, and even today and beyond, I have been living in a sober house.

When you see me come to work, glammed up, right after the show I go across the street, I do my Pilates, she said.

I told you, two hours a day I like to take care of my body. And you know Ive had a struggle with cocaine in my past.

And I never went to a place to get the treatment. I dont know how, except God was sitting on my shoulder and I just stopped.

Discussing staying in the sober home, she continued: After I go to the Pilates, I go to several meetings all around town in the Tri-state area.

And I see my brothers and sisters caught up in their addiction and looking for help. They dont know Im Wendy. They dont care Im Wendy.

She explained her sober coach drives her to a home she shares with a bunch of smelly boys who have now become her family.

They hog the TV and watch soccer, we talk and read and talk and read and then I get bored with them. Doors locked by 10pm, she added.

Lights out by 10pm. So I go to my room, and I stare at the ceiling and I fall asleep to wake up and come back here to see you. So that is my truth.

Following the segment, close friend Katie Couric took a moment to praise the TV favourite for speaking out about her struggles.

While appearing on Wendys show on Wednesday, she said: Im so proud of you. That was a hard thing to do.

I felt for you, and I think your candour and honesty is going to help so many people.
